Any new provider to the AC Health community who tells us who referred them will get their first calendar month on the app completely free at the Professional plan level for as many patients or clients as they want to onboard, with features including:

Referral Program FAQ’s
Only providers who tell us who referred them — either by name or by Channel code — will receive the Professional plan as part of their first calendar month using AC Health. All others will receive the Basic plan level — without patient website access or other upgraded features — by default after their initial demo.
Qualification is subject to manual review of the AC Health team, who makes the final decision as to whether a new provider qualifies for the referral program.
Another provider from your same clinic does NOT count as a qualified provider for our referral program. However, if you have more than two therapists, then it may make sense to check out our reduced Clinic Pricing!
The AC Health team gets a notice whenever a new provider’s Channel may meet the threshold to become a qualified referral. We then manually look at the backend of the provider’s Channel to double-check patient activity to sign off on qualification.
Each referral is subject to this manual inspection, during which we use our best judgement to make a final decision regarding qualification status.
When the qualification is confirmed, a notice is sent to the provider who made the referral to congratulate them on their upgraded membership!
If the AC Health team determines that a provider does not meet the qualification criteria, then no action is taken.
By “calendar month,” we mean the dates on the calendar — from the first of the month to the last day. This is because we plan to bill on the first of every month for the previous month’s use, prorating any new plans that begin partway through a given month.
So, a referred provider’s account has to qualify within the previous calendar month in order for the referring provider to receive the benefit for the next calendar month.
And, that means we offer any referred provider their first calendar month with free service, switching them over to the normal monthly billing cycle as of the first of the next month.
Conversely, we know that people can sign up for referrals at any time. In order to offer our providers the best chance at qualifying, we will qualify referrals up to 30 days after their App goes live in the Channel.
(A provider’s Channel is generally live within 24 hours of their initial request, and they are notified by email of their new Channel and the requirement for a demo before use.)
When a provider fills out the form or emails us to ask for a Channel for their practice, we generally create their Channel within 24 hours.
At that time, we send them an email notifying them of their new, free Channel in AC Health, as well as the requirement to learn how to use their Channel in a free, 30-minute live demo before they can onboard patients.
Once we send that email, a referred provider’s initial 30 day period begins.
Again, in order to qualify as a referral, a referred provider must:
- Tell us who referred them,
- Complete the live demo, and
- Onboard at least three active patients within the first 30 days of their Channel being live on the AC Health app.
Easily! There are three ways in which a referred provider can let us know who referred them. They can:
- Tell us the name of their referring provider either at sign-up or during their initial demo;

A qualified referred provider just needs to complete a demo with our founder, Susannah Bailin.
For example, if a referred provider takes the demo, tries it out with some patients, then decides the App isn’t for them, they can opt to downgrade their Channel to a “Free Forever” plan — that is, only letting one active patient access their Care Plan through AC Health — and not be charged.
The referring provider will still receive credit for the referral!

However, if the referrals “top out” to qualify for a free month, then their current annual plan “extends” by one calendar month to account for the referral credit.
For example, let’s say a therapist pays for a year of the Unlimited plan in January, and they refer a provider in February. The referred provider then qualifies for the referral program in March. (Yay!)
In this case, the renewal date of the annual Unlimited plan shifts to February — rather than January — of the renewal year.
The annual plan’s renewal date will continue shifting one calendar month for each qualified provider the therapist refers during their prepaid plan year.
This system applies to all annual plan holders, regardless of tier, if they recommend enough providers who qualify in the same calendar month to reach the free month.
- For Starting Out annual plan holders, this means referring 4+ providers who qualify in the same calendar month. (3 plan upgrades + 1 extra for free month credit)
- For Basic annual plan holders, this means referring 3+ providers who qualify in the same calendar month. (2 plan upgrades + 1 extra for free month credit)
